Lord Krayt Cost 114 HP 130 DEF 23 ATK +17 DAM 20
Special Abilities Unique. Melee Attack; Triple Attack Advantageous Attack [+10 Damage against an enemy who has not activated this round] Affinity [Non-Unique Imperials may be in your squad regardless of faction] Vonduun Crab Armor 6 [When this character takes damage, he can reduce the damage dealt by 10 with a save of 6]
Force Powers Force 2. Force Renewal 1; Master of the Force 2 Essence of Life [Force 2: When a living ally within 6 squares would be defeated, that ally makes a save of 11. On a success, that ally has 10 Hit Points instead of being defeated.] Recovery 60 [Force 3, replaces turn: Remove 60 damage from this character] Sith Rage [Force 1: +10 Damage on all attacks this turn] Transfer Essence [Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: Choose 1 living ally. Remove that ally from play and place Lord Krayt in that ally's space; that ally is defeated.]
Commander Effect You can choose to activate only 1 character in each phase. (This includes Droid and Savage characters.)
"I have been through death and conquered it." EPIC! Very interesting. Not sure I understand transfer essence on this particular character... It's been a while since I read the comics, but I don't recall anything like that in Krayt's utility belt. Can anyone post why he has this, if there is a cinematic explanation (make sure you put a spoiler warning on it ). Otherwise, I think he's really good. His CE really works well with his cost, and i'd say is the only reason he could really ever be competitively (if he can be... not sure that a 100+ piece will ever be competitively playable).

Don't underestimate double Transfer Essence. Kel Dors will be Krayt's friend. And all those HPs, he's going to be rough to kill.

Does Transfer Essence work with Self-Destruct? Honestly, I've never paid much attention to the synergy, since I could not picture ever using Exar Kun, but the way Transfer Essence is written, the target ally is removed from play... THEN defeated as a result of being removed from play. Just curious.
Regardless, the cheap fodder of the Uggies are definitely a friend to Krayt. I could also see the Sullustan Pilot. Okay, 15 points is a bit expensive for something you're thinking of sacrificing, but 40 HP, Evade, and Speed 8... The Sullustan might actually be able to pull is own weight before being sacrificed.

When they are removed from play, they are considered defeated, thus all when defeated effects are resolved. Just like with the Muun Tactics Broker.

Sure 20 less damage on a bomb but with their fearless leader, they are Rapport-ed down to 9 and gain super stealth for extra sneaking. Partner in a Probe Droid via Affinty and control the action as best you can. I would love to have him and Karness partner up. Karness creating pets and Krayt using them for vectors and being granted Karness' amulet would be fun.

It's cool how all his force powers work against Vong - he still might have problems against them, but he gets to use his entire bag of tricks in that matchup.

Uggie Demo wrote:adamb0nd wrote:... not sure that a 100+ piece will ever be competitively playable). I find your lack of faith disturbing... Challenge Accepted! In testing I played Krayt 3 times. Once vs Ian's championship squad. Krayt had Exar for rage and one other unamed piece helping him out. Then I filled it out with healers, Lobot, and swappers. Took the MTB and wrecked house. Transfer in and unload all kinds of damage. When you get hurt transfer back and heal back up. The High HP combined with Crab 6 make him hard to kill. MTB doesn't hurt you either as Krayt can kill it whenever he needs to by transfering. His CE is what makes the one man army viable. He has his weaknesses (Ysalamiri is really tough), as are things that kill his swappers fast. but Krayt + one of the mid 30's Sith + Lobot + Dudes is a really fun squad. Somebody will come up with something to make him shine. GMLS has made a top 4 at a regional before ( and that squad had like 6 acts!), Krayt will be no differant.
