mod edit - removed quoted material, some of which I have edited in the prior post. - swinefeld

lol some people just rub bill the wrong way, so to help you out in a nice manner Jak, if you would like to join in on the discussion about SSM and if it should be changed playtest a few games and post your results and opinions in that thread like I did. I got a quick response about it and a few questions that my post did not originally answer, so far the discussion seems to be pretty good, and the guy running really seems to care about the input you have for it AS LONG AS THERE IS SOME ACTUAL TESTING going on in your post.

ditto - sf

Hmmm. Just what jak said. Only he started with a blushing face and an apology. Plus an admission of doing it wrong.

and let's all just get this thread back on topic now, thanks.

I'm sorry you don't like a direct quote from something Jak made one of my comments read as. Where were you when I was getting banned and my comments were being turned into such vulgarity?

I apologize for telling you all the truth. I forgot, we weren't supposed to actually explain to people what occurred around here. But perhaps deleting comments like "some people rub Bill the wrong way" when you well know what the history is there. And for those that really are new to the forums and not banned people's new accounts, this history is far from "old". It was relatively recent. But yes, I did remove my own comment in case you were wondering.

After playing a bunch more minis, I still have to say Klatooian Captain is my favourite mini of the set. I saw him bring Saesee Tinn, Jedi Master into usefulness in a squad.

I knew it!!! Smile As time goes on I'm liking Carth more and more. He pairs very well with the OR Senator. With the impact that Bastila has had recently...Carth's pairing with the Senator seems less attractive to me than what it should, like with Han Smuggler and Princess Leia.

It's for this reason that I like Atton just a little more. He's versatile because his affinity. He gets +10 damage when paired with Bastila...or when he's coupled with the Exar Spirit.

The Hutts asked me a question some time ago about what Sith builds I've been working with. Sorry I haven't answered until now, but I've worked a little bit with the Atton Exar combo and I really like it. I haven't had an oppoatunity yet to try them with Zannah, but that will be my next experiment.

After playing with these pieces a lot more, the one that really shines is Artoopio. They don't seem that good on the face of it, their card looks like some random amalgamation of stuff that someone thought was good, and they're kind of silly in general. But once they get on the table, they do so much and really boost some under-utilized aspects of the faction (like Wedge). They're not powerful, but they sure are useful. Plus they get bonus points for surprising me and making me lose games. When a 22 point piece noticeably turns the tide of a game and constantly thwarts you, it's a really good piece.

Least favorite is the leviathan. It's just weird and bad. Huges sadly do not work in this game unless they have flight, and its statline just doesn't justify having the same cost as, say, new Revan.

Agreed, R2-PO with wedge, and Leila is a now a serious alternative to the standard "Solo Charge".

I agree I like R-2PO for the NR. It is a lower cost Disruptive option that frees up the build possibilities. It is strange that it does not have any door interaction SA though.

I remember the design team mentioning that that was intentional, to keep it from being "R2-D2 & C3P0 with a NR logo".
