kezzamachine, there may be slight power creep over these 3 sets, but I honestly think it's less than we would have seen from WotC. What IS different is that far more pieces in these sets are correctly costed. That means that a far higher percentage of the Vset pieces are viable compared to the WotC pieces.

Also, I do think you'll run into issues explaining how Mace LotLS and Bastila are not overpowered. They're the ones that got singled out the most in this Vset hate thread over at boardgamegeek:

http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/753851/virtual-sets-or-why-fanboys-dont-make-games

I do think Bastila was slightly overpowered in the sense that she's pretty much an auto-include for OR. I wish we didn't have any pieces like that. If ABM cost 4 instead of 3, it'd be ideal. But she's not gamebreaking. Certainly no more than Dodonna, Rieekan, or any number of WotC pieces that came along.

The best thing about the new sets is that I end up playing against different factions all the time now. I started playing between Masters of the Force and Destiny of the Force. At that point, I was pretty much playing against Rebels, New Republic and Separatists in about 90% of the games, and I ran Republic all the time.

Now I see 8 out of the 9 factions reasonably regularly (I've still never played against Mandos), and all the minor factions have got way more attention.

I think the best old pieces do compete easily with the new stuff. I had a could-have-gone-either-way game against Sharron, where he was running Weir, Pallaeon etc, and I was running all WotC pieces. And I won the Hutt Regional final with a squad where the only new piece was C-3PO/R2-D2, who didn't actually do anything (disrupt anything, give twin, or bodyguard anything) in the final at all. It's when you weren't using the top tier stuff beforehand, that the v-sets don't make sense; our Save11 group has generally been pretty much in line with the overall meta, even if we never hit the crazy amounts of activations you see in top GenCon squads.

There is one piece that is OP and thats Bastila. I still there should be a errata for her. She is way over powered.
Thats 199 other minis that worked or close to it. Yeah there are 6-8 i am a little iffy on but they are not that game changing.

I don't think she's way overpowered - only slightly. She won GenCon, but if she were way overpowered, I think you'd have seen a ton more OR. The problem isn't so much that she's overpowered, though. It's that she makes the game less fun. She completely eliminates an entire class of squad type... similar to how Lancer/Yobuck eliminates low-HP trooper squads. There are still plenty of squad types that can compete against her, but a huge chunk (anything CE dependent) are just straight out removed.

I don't think she needs an errata, but I do think she needs more counters... just counters that reduce her power, not counters that make her useless. Any number of slight tweaks could have weakened her just slightly to where I would say she's balanced - one less starting FP, ABM costing 4 instead of 3, ABM ending at the end of the round (like Atris) instead of being able to stretch across nearly 2 full rounds. Essentially, so ABM can't be turned on quite so much. But counters can approximate those tweaks... make her spend another FP, or start with one less, or a FP that cancels Force Abilities at the end of the round. Stuff like that.

Ysalimiri is fine, but I think variety is better. Plus, Ysalimiri nerfs all jedi, not just Bastila. And I don't think we need that in Fringe.

I dont get why errata is so bad. I would like that then hard counters that come out in two years so on. I am use to card games where cards get errata all the time. I am kind of use to it. I kind of would like her just straight banned along with Atris or just banning of sets that would kind of be cool. Both of thoses minis are just not done right. Sorry I am a fan of errata and banning than counters. I cant stand hard counters.

Let's keep this more about V-set 4 and less about B----stilla, shall we? I think the debate for her highness should be reserved for another thread. We can derail the topic at hand with other discussions.

Awesome :)

He wore a large-rimmed circular hat, which could be thrown as a weapon, or used as a shield against small arms fire. He also made use of a modified bowcaster.

Wonder what his special abilities are going to look like.

Yeah, while I am not sure it would work for Embo w/ his hat, I believe the ability you seem to be talking about is probably a multipurpose one:

Temper Tantrum (Replace attack: range 3; target enemy and any character adjacent to it is considered puzzled, receiving -2 defense until this character is defeated)

Perfect for your shoe-thrower, and I anticipate it would probably end up on each Anakin moving forward as well...

I test played embo and I really hope they did a major over haul on him. I was quite disappointed with what I tested.

I know you can't spoil, but can you generalize why you didn't like him?

Probably best not to. I will say he has been through a change here recently that makes him quite good. You'll have to just wait and see what that change is. We are completing new pieces every day so we should have pleanty to show here in the next few weeks.

Btw if anyone could make me a Custom of Embo I'd be glad to buy it.
