If there is a visibility problem for the important sites (ie Google page 2 instead of 1), linking to them from Wiki is a good suggestion (whoever said that). Have you ever clicked on Links under the Community tab here? You can find it from the home page, and this site doesn't require you to be a member to look at most areas. Tell me what is missing, I'dd add it.

Am I the only one that thought it was annoying when I was trying to get back in the game. That I had to go to like 4 different sites. Download like 5 millions files and get lost. That alone was enough to just say enough is enough.

I think part of the issue is the fact that Many of us do not have the time to do these sorts of things. we all have lives and important things to do. Many of us who do have the Time simply are using it play-testing. Which severly Limits the amount of time you can use. Also really in my area we don't have a play group anymore. I have tried to get my previous group together but they have all migrated away from other games. SO my Group now consists of my wife, My brother in-law, and the occasional friend of mine that want to play. When play-testing i utilize them and vassal often. That being said i think part of the Biggest Detriment was the fact that there were no new "Pieces" to play. they were not to enthused with the Cards we were getting. I have Honestly tried in our area to get games together, by posting at our local game shops, And Getting people to join. So i don't think it is just the marketing aspect of it. I am not saying that it is impossible to get new players, i am just saying that in some areas it may be more work/ time than people can afford. Also I guess i misunderstood you originally on the Combination site thing. If all you are trying to do is Get links to these other pages in one Convenient area on each site, than i am fine with that. However if you are wanting to combine ( Literally) all of the sites i don't think it will happen. Each site has a useful function. Link i think would be feasible if the mods (like Swinefeld here) are willing to do a bit more than normal work.

Jonny this is getting silly. The vast majority of people active in this game are more than accommodating and generally bend over backwards to help people out when they have questions or need help. Let me give you an example to refresh your memory. Last year (2012) you asked me for a ride to the Chicago Regional which you so kindly volunteered to judge. I was happy to help you out since I was going right past there anyway. Once we got there other participants (I think Bill for sure) encouraged you to play in addition to being the judge. You said you didn't have a squad but Tim Ballard said you were welcome to use his Naboo Death Shot Tile Wars squad. Since it was a TW squad it had no door control. Someone (perhaps me, I can't remember) then lent you an R7 to add in and we even allowed you to proxy that for R2-Astromech without even having the card IIRC. Someone then lent you the Cantina map to use for the day. After finishing the swiss rounds you wanted to leave (even though you were the judge). I wanted to stay and I got 1 Tile Wars game in against Jake. Again you continued talking about wanting to leave and even though I wanted to stay to the end I finally agreed. We don't need to go into the issue that resulted in your (the judge's) early departure because its off topic. The point is that everything that I just typed shows exactly how accommodating everyone is and continues to be. This year you didn't show up to the WI or Chicago Regional. If you wanted to play at either people would have again been accommodating and willing to loan you maps or mini's or whatever but you chose not to reach out to anyone (aside from mentioning that you might show up). In fact when you did mention that you might show up you didn't say a word about having an issue getting there (something that could be solved), not having the mini's (something that could be solved), or not having a legal map (something that could be solved). You didn't ask for help or anything you were simply a no-show. Now suddenly you want to criticize the people who did put in time and effort to making these events happen and get as good of a turnout that they could. I'm sorry Jonny but that is a slap in the face to everyone who spent both time and money to make these events happen when you did absolutely nothing. Furthermore Jonny you have been around this game many many years more than I have and have been to both gamers and bloomilk a ton. You know where to find details about events because you have posted in those threads. You also generally know who to expect at these events. You are perfectly capable of messaging any one of us or asking a question in those threads. Case in point I just went to the Chicago Regional Thread here on bloo and Tim's post has a link to the map list with images plus all the information you would need as a long time and fairly accomplished mini's player. Check it out: http://www.bloomilk.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=11967Nobody was stopping you from getting involved and promoting these events Jonny except for you. I'm tired of the pot shots you are taking and the bad attitude. And that's probably what got you a vacation from gamers.

Johnny, let me ask you something. You obviously think you could easily rustle up a bunch of players for a regional with little or no chance of failure, so how would you have done that for the DE Regional, for which I was the TO? http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12705

Again, burnt bridges. If you had shown the ability to keep your commitment and not insulted those who do volunteer work for the game, you might've been able to find someone willing to work with you. You can still contact Engineer about buying the site, but I do not believe he will be wiling to sell it you. As for multiple sites, meh. I agree with Nickname that a site like The Holocron/SWMResources is a good idea. No forum, just the resources available. Because both Gamers and Bloomilk's forums have a sordid history that will turn off some returning players.

And Johnny disappears as soon as he is challenged to turn his rhetoric into specifics. Predictable.
