*sigh* more new abilities. At least this one can be on another unit possibly. 27 cost for a top damage of around 60, 120 if you intentionally build around her. Also, as she has stealth, she can easily get accurate shot, so not sure how often focused attack will need to be used. Overall, meh, might be useful but not game breaking. So, good average, just didn't need the new FP.
Not everything can be game breaking There you go, if I make it bold you can read, right? Also, if you build around her, I guess you can actually get her a lot higher than 120. With the power creep I guess that isn't bad, being that everything and its mother has evade these days. Still, 2 units can make this lady a beast (czerka and anybody who grants extra attacks) and one with accurate shot options (veers, a force battery, xizor). So, yeah, if this was about two years ago I would have called her broken, now, 120 damage potential is meh. Bravo. What ever happened to cunning 10? veers only effects non uniques and to put her in a squad with the universe Xizor is a big waste of points, even if you do build around it. IT is hard to make him playable. Arica can manage but that is about it.

IMO, this is not a piece you invest a whole lot into boosting. More Force points, and Blaster Upgrade which is pretty handy in general anyway. I think she's a surgical striker.

As a non-competitive player, I really like the new Mara Jade. It allows me a fantastic option for Lobot's reserves and the new Force power gives me a little extra wiggle room against my brother's cloaked mandos or super stealth squads without building every squad to hard counter them.

Ever since SWM was dropped by Wizards, I don't think I've played a single game, but I've wanted to.
These awesome V-Sets will probably give me the extra motivation I need. I've already saved all the released PDFs so far to print out and can't wait to see how this one turns out! :D

So it said on Gamers that there were Danville previews, but the only information is: Quote:Yes there were, I didnt write them down. One was a rebel unique Twilek and the other was a fringe piece.

Laranth Tarak maybe? Then she would have some sort of synergy with Jax Pavan

I thought of Nawara Ven, but discounted him because how would you make a mini of a lawyer? Then I had an epiphany.
NAWARA VEN Cost: High-Priced Hit Points: 40 Defense: 16 (Twinkie) Attack: 5 Damages: 10 (Ruling of Judge)
Special Abilities Unique Legal Interpretation (You may determine who the legal target is, save 11) Legalese (Reword any enemy commander effect within 6 squares) On Retainer (This character costs an additional 5 points each round) Pilot Slip and Fall (Whenever an ally moves into a square containing low objects adjacent to an enemy, the opposing player must give you 15 of his/her points, save 11)

I wasn't at Danville, but I know this was one of the previewed pieces: Quote:Laranth Tarak Cost 25
HP 70 DEF 16 ATK 9 DAM 20
Special Abilities Unique. Twin Attack Agile [This character can move 2 extra squares at the end of her turn] Camaraderie [An ally whose name contains Jax Pavin gains Twin Attack] Evade [When hit by an attack from a nonadjacent enemy, this character takes no damage with a save of 11]
Force Powers Force 2 Focused Attack [Force 2, usable only on this character's turn: This character ignores cover when determining legal targets]
Jedi Laranth Tarak preferred using twin DL-44 blasters over the traditional lightsaber. Dunno what the Fringe piece was.
