who reckons it would be cool to play a 200 pt game with GLMS, dodonna, and the rest felucians? i reckon that would be mean!! force blast for everyone!

So for fun last night, my son and I played a 1 on 1 Vader Scourge vs GMLS. (we started out based just to test the blow-by-blow action)

After messing up the first sequence (I FPRR'd one too many with Vader and we didn't catch it until too late) we started over. Vader almost killed Luke, but some bad rolls left him weak, and then dead during Luke's 1st turn.

Next we switched characters. Vader won init. I took every Djem So with Luke I could. (definitely a bad idea) Luke died with a leftover twin on a DjS before Vader ever got to his double.

I'm not sure whether all the Djem So stuff has to be resolved before determining the outcome - if so they might have both died. It was amusing either way!

Finally just for grins, I swapped out Scourge with Lord Vader. Luke destroyed him so fast it was hilarious. He Lightsaber Defensed LV's first hit, made Djem So hitting both times, then Djem So'd LV's twin and critted on both for 90 damage. So much for the big bully in black Razz

Pretty much all Djem So's need to be resolved before a piece is removed. This is why you can Riposte if a hit kills you.

This tuesday we are having a 200 pt tourny and I think I will run GMLS, Leia, and Jarael. That way both Leia's and Luke's CE affect some one.

A squad I made involved Luke, Mara, Lando DS, Dodonna, and Uggs. 8 acts +Dodonna CE, and I've got shooters in Mara and Lando. Mara can take care of those pesky AniCoNs and SotJ's.

I've found that Leia significantly boosts Luke's power, almost to the point where she should probably always go with him. Beyond that there really isn't much room for any really heavy hitters if you want to have any sort of activation control. Yesterday I ended up running Luke, Leia, Jarael, a Twi'lek BSV, Dodonna, 2 Ugnaughts, and a Mouse Droid. It worked well, though one of the games came really close. And if you try to include someone like Kyle along with Leia, you're going to have 4-5 activations.

i like Kyle with my GMLS. i dont have the leia, just the one from legacy (WHICH BLOWS WITH GMLS!). But Jacen solo was an interesting combo, interesting in the fact that every time i lost a named character, he was to far to "use the force".ThumbDown

well sharron, i just did that, and did well. you should try it, the force blast become the conversation ender, and my opponent just forfeit, and was moaning about how "that Luke is gonna get banned by DCI". it was funny.

I liked the possibility of using Clone Strike Aurra Sing with Luke in 200-pt (more rerolls, Lightsaber Sweep). Another idea was to use Jaina to bring in a Rebel-faction Han Solo: Rebel Storm Han Solo, or Han (Scoundrel) just for the fun of playing Luke, Jaina, and Han.

Inevitably, Dodonna is going to be used.

I'd try Luke, Aurra, Dodonna, and Lobot (Liason) - need Reserves if using Luke - with 24-25 points left for some fodder.

haha i had a game with GMLS, dodonna, felucians, and leia. the felucians just DONT DIE. im sooo lucky with them its awesome. i had a little weird challenge thingy with my mate the other day, who could last the longest against bane. we both picked characters, and you were alowed unlimited FPs. he chose GOWK, i chose a felucian. the felucian survived 5 ROUNDS with out using a FP, and then missed both rolls, and died. obviously i didnt win against gowk, but it was definatly THE COOLEST thing to do. im in love with felucians hahahahaha. nd they pretty much glow aswell!!! ohh.. soo cool. im gonna show kezzamachine next. lololol

good stuff.
me and my friend did Bane vs. GMLS last night.
we start adjacent to each other, Bane wins Inish, double att from bane really hurts, hits me 100.
GMLS rolls three crits on bane in Trip twin, hits for 180.
so now its GMLS at 50 hp, vs. Bane at 20.
bane wins inish, kills the hell outta GMLS.
so, it still goes without saying, Bane is still the boss in Damage output, and FPs.

Why did you not use lighsaber defense or djem so style mastery? Each time he hit you for 50, you could most likely block and hit him for 50.

Oh, okay. That makes sense. I think it would be fun to pit Kun and Qel-Droma against Luke with no handicaps. I wonder how long Luke would last, or if he would win?

theres no way he would win.
i guve him death by 6th inish.
you send out Ulic 1st, when he starts to wither and die, you kill him with Kun, so he can get at luke with full health.
the way i see it, luke would atleast have lost 50-60 hp against Ulic. Kun bats cleanup on his trip att.
luke cant make every save, which i found out last night.

That is a completely subjective question with a completely subjective answer.

It depends on how many FPs Luke has when engaged with the two Sith, that determines how much of a chance he will have to win (It is slim even if he had 20 starting). If he has say 6 or so that would be the minimum you would want, and even then it is sketchy. Luke probably will be spending FPS twice per activation, whether on Force Defense on Rage (probably wouldn't be a good idea though), rolling LS defense, rerolling Djem So/Sith Sorcery.

Hard to know really. I would Luke can't beat the two of them just because his survivability is predicated on a lot of save 11s and his opponents will basically never miss.

Exar and Ulic are 145 so they of course would defeat Luke just on the strength of HP alone.

If one did Leia JK and Luke (140 points) I would say it would be much closer. Force Absorb, Throw, and her HP would help, as well as the obvious offense. I would always have her base Ulic and not Exar so Exar can't eliminate her in one activation.


Exar and Ulic to be fair aren't designed to be played without squads, Exar's strength is Transfer Essence and Ulic's is the Commander effect and crazy stats. Neither would be using their primary advantage in a 2 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 fight. That is why this game was designed with squads in mind, not figures.
