They also had those lego minifigures on clearance for $1.50 so I picked up a couple of them and got the Hazmat guy, so I'm pleased with that. HOW DOES EVERYONE PULL PALPY ON POTTY SO EASILY?????

Today I found 1 RotS ($6.99). Pulled Darth Tyrannus. He's tradeable.

I would have bought them all if they had more. The guy working there said they would not be getting more in. They did have some IE boosters left though, but everyone is about IEed out I believe.

Well that's really disappointing...Just made my way out to the only target near me that I haven't been to yet, it's about 25 min drive. They had 5 boosters of LOTF, which is tops on my wantlist. Unfortunately they were not marked down to 3.99, they were still 6.99. But since I had driven all that way I went ahead and got them anyway. 0 for 5 on VRs! Yuck. My rares were Han Galactic Hero, Luke Legacy, Lumiya, Moff Nyna Calixte and Shado Vao. Blech.

Yeah I heard the stores closer to Cleveland have a better supply. Found IE and JA at 5Below in Macedonia if you're up that way. (everyone could always use more younglings!).

46 boosters total. 13 VRs - under the 1/3 average. :( 34 IE - 2 Luke Commando, 2 Vader LotF, 2 Xizor, 2 Rieekan, 1 Dash Rendar RS, 1 Emp on Throne (5 mouse droids) 7 JA - 1 Dark Woman 3 GaW - 1 Hondo Onaka 1 CW - No VR 1 LotF - Boba Fett Merc Commander
I am thinking I will at least make my money back by buying all of these and selling them. Give away some stuff to the kids at GenCon.

Well crud.
The local Target restocked recently, so I grabbed two Force Unleashed and a Clone Wars booster. The Force Unleashed had Apprentice Redeemed and a Dark Trooper (I needed both), as well as some commons/uncommons I wanted duplicates of.
I opened the CW booster and was happy to see Barriss Offee's card, along with an IG-86 ... I needed Barriss and was hoping for another IG-86.
As I was sorting them for Bloo, I realized THE MINIS AREN'T THE SAME AS THE CARDS. None of them match. The worst part is that the Rare mini is frickin' Gha Nacht.

Ted and I stopped by Target when we were in the neighborhood for a tournament in Fredericksburg. He got 3 IE and JA, I got a CW. He got Xizor, Crix, R2, and GMLS no Mouse Droids. I pulled GGDAC (my 5th, lol). I've personally watched nearly 2 full cases of discount IE boosters get opened, and have seen zero Mouse Droids. I've personally bought 12 boosters and am currently 0/12 for VRs, and no Mouse Droids. Got 6 Sandtrooper Officers, though! =(

Whats funny to me is how everyone wants Mouse Droids.. not rares haha

Was I really the only one who didn't play lobot in my regional win?

As far as I know, we don't have the winning squad for the California Regional. I did assemble a thread on Gamers that has the winning squads for Regionals this year, and once I get info for California they will go on the non-Forum part of Gamers just like the winning squads for the past 2 Regionals did. Lobot is in almost all squads and Gha Nackt is in a large majority as well. Not too many DotF pieces were played in the winning squads, which did surprise me....

Publicity is one; since this is completely community-generated we DOTF doesn't have the benifit of stores to mass sell the cards. Secondly, because it is completely community-generated and not WOTC 'approved' lol, it might be hard to believe that these are legal cards and that you can proxy in any mini you want. I know for myself that I'm always dubious whenever I see Yu-Gi-Oh cards selling at chinese markets if they are really 'legal' cards. However, this isn't really much as an issue since many of the people online here who fully know about DOTF are kind of the leaders of their play groups; who can explain the legalism of DOTF. Lastly, I think the greatest problem is that a lot of us are justused to playing the same squads over....and over....and over....which is why I think it was awesome when (Engineer?)'s squad with Nute Gunray won his Regional. Totally outside-the-box thinking using a near-obsolete piece to win. Power creep as well just seems to be spoon-feeding us uber effects and ultra boosted figures. Ex include: Rieekan. Take a mediocre squad and throw him into the mix and boom. The squad gets instantly better amazingly. Same with Thrawn and a couple others. DOTF puts some cool spin on many figures that may be risky; curious; or even crazy. I know for me that it would be hard to set aside a Rieekan; Whorm; or Thrawn squad for some minor faction squad thats experimental (such as new-Nom Bombs; Bastila JM; etc.) Hopefully R&R; Epic; and BoT will help promote these VSets more to use. As in the words of Hercule Poirot, "Man is the most unoriginal animal". Whew....that was quite a long rant...:P

Finally came across some $3.99 boosters! Got a little nervous when every store in the area had pulled their 40% discounted boosters and hadn't restocked any boosters whatsoever.
1 CW = Durge, Jedi Hunter (needed him) 2 TFU = Kazdan Paratus (needed him) + Maris Brood (available for trade). 4 JA = The Jedi Exile (needed him), Anakin Solo (wasn't looking but Unleash the Force looks fun!), Grand Master Yoda (available for trade), + Darth Maul, Sith Apprentice (wasn't looking, may trade....).
I will take that kind of haul any day of the week! If anyone is interested in a Maris Brood of Grand Master Yoda let me know.
Also, I still have a Boba Fett, Mercenary Commander available for trade. Surprisingly every person I sent a bloo mail too looking to make a trade decided not to respond so it's fair game!
