An ability that mimics combine-fire for Melee, but makes it more useful:
Coordinated Attack: If this character is not activated when an ally with Melee Attack attacks an adjacent enemy, the ally gets +4 Attack for the rest of the turn and the enemy automatically fails saves for the rest of the turn. This character is considered activated.
Automatic damage prevention by giving up a turn:
Intercepted Strike: If this character is not activated when this character or an adjacent ally is hit by a Melee Attack, damage from the attack is reduced to 0. This character is considered activated.
Dive for Cover: If this character is not activated when this character is hit by a non-melee Attack, damage from the attack is reduced to 0 and you may move this character up to half its speed. This character is considered activated.
The opposite of Bravado:
Superior Skill: This character gains +4 Attack, +10 Damage versus lower-cost enemies.

I know this has been discussed in regards to mouse droids on SWMGamers. I know that some abilities of opposite flavor were discussed on the General discussion page. Opposite of Bounty Hunter+X (My suggestion was "Cull.") and Bravado. Similar to the Talz Chieftan CE. I know I suggested "Bully" as the opposite of Bravado. We will see what comes of that. I am hoping that these lines will be addressed in some version or another.

I chose a term that was more neutral so it could be used either way.

I remember somebody floating that idea 1-2 sets ago and think it is brilliant! Hoping it gets made one day, if any piece should be remade and have dismount. Just saying

A lightsider isn't going to go all out on someone "weaker" whereas a darksider will to show off their toughness.

Opposite of Rapport: Distrust: this character costs one more if in the same squad as a character whose name contains X.

In addition to these opposite abilities, how about the companion abilities to Intuition/Surprise Move (which seem to be quite popular in the vsets):
Surprise Attack (Force 1, As long as no character in your squad has made an attack this round, after initiative is determined, this character can make an immediately attack [at+] before any other character activates, this attack cannot benefit from other Special Abilities or Commander Effects)
Preemptive Strike (As long as no character in your squad has made an attack this round, after initiative is determined, this character can make an immediately attack [at +] before any other character activates, this attack cannot benefit from other Special Abilities or Commander Effects)
[at +] is optional due to limiting it from benefitting from things like cunning attack and twin attack. Also restricted to 1 attack per round for balance and flavor - as after 1 attack the enemy would be more on guard.

+1 This could be interseting. Character X cost more to be in a squad with the ideal partener for it, means people would have to be more creative!!

I really like the ideas on the Special Abilities:
Patience - Been wanting something like this to counter the 'activation-abuse' squads that were played so much before. It makes logical sense as an ability as well. This also might be something that is given to a figure by another figure such as the Squib Trader/Rodian Trader. That way, the most powerful figures in your squad wouldn't be literally worthless as they sometimes are when outactivated.
Body Armor - This is a good addition to make the trooper squads more playable. Make it so Naboo troopers can't get it though.
Without getting into specific characters, I really like the idea of sub-factions that have synergy. The suggestions of Cloud City and Imperial Remnant seem like perfect possibilities for this.

I'd like to see a partial rapport with Fringe in other factions. Common enemy: this character costs x less when in XYZ faction. Say Kreia is mostly Sith but she's listed as Fringe. Costs 1 less in Sith than any other faction. Could help with Talon Karrde (New Reps), Boba Fett (1 less in Mandos) but still be in any faction.

Darth Talon (please! I love her sculpt but I never use it for obvious reasons!) Darth Caedus (rapport w/ NR non-uniques would be nice) Coleman Trebor Talon Karrde NR K'kruhk I like the idea of some more remakes of NR characters but at the same time don't like the idea of remaking everything. The problem is where do we stop. Wolf Sazen, Shado Vao and others never see the light of day (nor should they at those point costs). Same goes for much of the Sith. This was a WotC created issue and should probably be addressed slowly over time. If it takes another 2-3 years to update a slew of deserving significant EU characters so that we have playable versions I'm down with that. Just not too much too quickly. It would probably cheapen things.
Biggsy's idea of a Sep Holo Sid is excellent. Like he said, what a great way to boost living Seps!
Also, some huge's with stable footing or some other ability that wouldn't kill their ability to move easily would be outstanding. Take the Junk Golem for instance. It was on Raxus Prime, a junk planet, and had no mobility issues when attacking the Apprentice. Huge's need love. You might not have to wait till v-set 6 for.........ummm......I am not at liberty to say.....

A Useful Ulic-Qel Droma please!! He is great in a Sith squad but he was outdated by the time FU and Legacy came out. The original "Revan" problem.

A new San Hill with the CE: Droids are subject to these effects; Non-unique droids may reroll each failed save once. Whenever a non-Unique droid ally [whose cost is less than X] would be defeated, with a save of 16, it instead immediately returns to play with full Hit Points. that way you can't have them respawn AND have the slow activations together.
