Like I said I t hink most casual players really enjoy them, especially people who are SW fans. Most the people I introduced to the game loved going throught the ultimate missions book.
That said, i think making a book that goes beyond normal scenarios is a better idea than just a book of scenarios.
I'd say the majority of our games are casual/scenarios, but the UM missions didn't appeal to us. Probably because the pieces are restricted to the first couple of sets and they have to make up the maps essentially since it's also restricted to the early maps. Much rather make up our own on the newer maps/newer pieces. High praise for the generic ones in the back of Rebel Storm, though... those work pretty well. Thats why I think coming up with new stat cards for characters are a great selling point! you can design the scenario characters to be a bit more balanced! My Ideal Star Wars Miniatures Compendium would be a boxed set containing: A scenario book consisting of 50-60 well thought out and fun scenarios Rules modifications for epic play, that would include card stock models of vehicles Different game styles, including tile wars, with new tiles included New Maps (maybe 2 or 3 double sided) A set of new characters (perhaps a Vr,R,C,UC for each faction) A disc that contains more maps(perhaps my old maps that are out of print) and more tiles, and smaller tiles. Put it all in a nice box, with a nice letter explaining what it is and why you did it.(mention that it's a fan project, created by a non profit organization devoted to keeping a great game going) Sell it for 50 dollars. Hustle the blasted thing. Take it to all the LGS, do events, demos, burn up FB and Twitter. Maybe run an ad at Board Game Geek, tabletop gaming news, etc. Now here where I get controversial. USE KICKSTARTER. Its the safest and bet. The piece that they take is totally worth it. Think of the traffic alone on that website. I've used Kickstarter a number of times to great success, so has Chris West. You just have to remember to factor in the amount that they take, and the piece that amazon payments. for this project you'd probably want budget of 20K. that seems like alot, but that will give you the money to make a great product, ship it and promote it. dang...I'm really wanting to get in on this now... That would be awesome...

I think it would be great to have this out by gencon 2014 which gives up a year to make it happen, If it where to take longer than that I feel it might not come together. I will be BMing you guys to see when would be good

Gencon 2014? Please don't get too ambitious... We still don't entirely know what we'll be including, let alone have all of it developed. Not to mention, we need more than just four people working on this, especially since two (you and I) cannot commit full-time. Not to mention that this probably hasn't even been mentioned on Gamers yet, and I have no clue when Gencon even is. However, having said that, I do think that it can be done, with a lot of work. And I mean a lot. It all depends on what we are including. Hmm... What might be a good idea is getting a very basic, simple (but useful) version out by Gencon 2014 so that people can see what is possible, and to build community support. And if that catches on, then we can start focusing on what Jedicartographer put forward. I already have a basic idea of what we need to do, and in what order. Mainly, what stuff I need to/can do, and what stuff others will have to do. First on that list? Get a couple more people involved. They don't need to be fully committed at all -- we just need a couple more volunteers. I can talk to a couple of people that might be possibly interested, but I can't guarantee anything. What we really need is to create a little "campaign" for this thing, starting with recruiting more committee members and playtesters. (Also, we probably need two threads: one for us, the people working on it, and a public thread, for announcements and everything else.) EDIT: Sorry for the rambling. Essentially, I have a basic plan/idea. We need more volunteers. If we're going to get it out by Gencon 2014, it might have to be a bit smaller-than-ideal. Finally, we probably need two separate threads: one for the designers/creators, and one for public announcements, information, etc. Maybe a third for playtesting.

If not here than Maybe on Gamers because i think that may be possible over there as long as the rest have Log ins. Mine is Darthjawa

Ok, so it would seem that I need to do most of this myself.
It's fine for now, since I have a little extra time. It'll help me stop procrastinating, as well. ;)
For those who don't know, we definitely don't have enough people to get everything done. In order to remedy that, I'll be PMing a couple of people who might be interested/be able to help. HOWEVER, I don't know everyone on this site, and that means I need the help of anyone already involved. I'll also probably make a thread for recruiting, soon.
Time to start this rolling.

This post will be updated if/when more people join the project.

Current Table of Contents: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/49767633/Community%20Scenario%20Project.docx(I'll put it in this post not too long from now.) Anything I'm missing? Please not that the ToC is definitely not the final version, and not organized in any official way.

Oh, the vehicle play sounds interesting... Maybe Battlefront vehicles would be a good place to start. Dejarik rules sounds FUN. Dynamic Duos are fun, and I may start developing some format/rules for them. Figures designed for the scenario/campaigns is a great idea. I had mentioned in the other thread that I had a rough idea for a bounty hunting play format, and custom/more balanced bounty hunters to use may be important for balance (and it would be cool). Rules for epic play... Maybe Epic Dynamic Duo rules/guidelines could be developed?

Dejarik and Dynamic Duos, for example, already have rules. The Vehicles one, I think, was meant to mainly refer to current SWM vehicles -- many of which are almost never used, even with all of the recent boosts. EDIT: Dejarik rules can be found earlier in the thread. One of my posts. Around the third page, I think?

Oh, I thought it might mean new pieces and gameplay rules to allow 'climbing in' and operating turrets/driving it and such. Still, a VERY good idea. TONS of near useless vehicles. As far as DD rules, I thought about trying to develop a 'masters and apprentice's mode maybe? Ooh! I'd like to see the Dejarik rules! Also, are there any ideas for what custom maps will _if any_ possibly be included? I may can toss around a few ideas...

So, uh... Will I be mostly doing this myself? I mean, I'm fine with that. I just need to know.
If this post doesn't get any replies, I'll assume that everyone means "yes." Because that would mean that no one is paying attention.

I've been checking every week or so, and seen no posts for a long time, I wasn't sure what had happened to it, and was about to contact you. I have an idea, I think could be great:
A Battle of Utapau scenario, with Boba/Grievous Wheelbike (maybe the new ones), and a set army (and even an Utapau map as one that is included maybe?), like the old scenario's, with specific victory conditions.

I do have time to review scenarios and make suggestions if you're up for sending them to me, I just don't get enough games in to playtest.
