That could easily fit for a piece already designed. That concept was originally floated before that set was designed if I'm not mistaken.

Hidden movement: Replaces turn; If this character begins its turn on the board and does not have line of sight to an enemy, remove this character from the board and replace it with two tiles. Move each tile up to twice this character's speed as if the tile were a character. Both tiles must end their move in low objects. The tiles do not count as characters, but they occupy a square. If this character has tiles on the board at the beginning of its turn, place this character in the square of one of the tiles and remove both tiles.
(Using tiles as game pieces in a standard format game might be too radical of a new game mechanic, but this might serve to start some brainstorming about a new type of movement breaker.)

I think that the main faction soldiers should be boosted. Clones, Rebel Troopers, Stormtroopers, and Battle Droids. Maybe also snowtroopers, super battle droids, etc. They should have some more commander effects that boost ONLY them. Not Heavy Clone Troopers, Rocket Battle Droids, or any other minor figures. I'd like to see the well-known characters get more play.

These are the ones that actually could use the Squad abilities... the ones that are cheap enough that you can bring in enough of them that you don't lose 1 or 2 and then lose the Squad ability right at the outset. Of course, they'd also need defense against swarm-busters. Hopefully an alternative to death shots, though.

I came up with this luke that I felt helped the rebel faction quite a bit, build very much like the new han solo. He was designed to represent luke at the start of RoTJ, throughout the negotiations with jabba, to finally springing the ambush on the plank above the sarlacc:
Luke Skywalker, Jedi Negotiator 50 Hit Points: 110 Defense: 20 Attack: 13 Damage: 20
Aggressive Negotiations (This character is considered to have Diplomat until it makes an attack or is targeted by an enemy character. Characters with Ambush, Backlash, or It's a Trap! can ignore this ability for the purpose of attacking this character.) Melee Attack (Can attack only adjacent enemies) Double Attack (On his turn, this character can make 1 extra attack instead of moving) Ambush (This character can move and then make all his attacks against 1 enemy who has not activated this round) Camaraderie (Camaraderie (Unique living allies whose names contain Chewbacca, Leia, or Lando gain double attack and ambush)) Djem So Style (Whenever this character is hit by a melee attack, make a save of 11. On a success, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker.)
Force Powers
Force 2 Force Renewal 1 (This character gets 1 Force point each time he activates) Lightsaber Deflect (Force 1: When hit by a nonmelee attack, this character takes no damage with a save of 11) Jedi Mind Trick (Force 1, usable only on this character's turn: range 2; target living enemy is considered activated this round and cannot make attacks of opportunity this turn; save 11) Force Grip 1 (Force 1, replaces attacks: sight; 10 damage)

Are there are any ideas out there except death shots and self-destruct for swarm-buster defense? Those two have been used quite a lot lately, so i was wondering if there's anything else around? Something that stops movement (with a save) when it dies? Icky Mess: when this character is defeated, an adjacent enemy who has defeated this character must make a save of 11. On a failed save, the enemy must stop (if necessary going to the nearest available space) and cannot make further attacks this turn.

I think an effect " Enemies may only make one attack per turn" would be a nice twist, as long as it wasn't always on. An expensive Force Ability perhaps... something like Advanced Battle Meditation. Similarly, something more localized in an SA that says " This character may only be attacked once per turn." Or Stand Together: Allies gain +4 Defense for each ally who has been damaged this turn. Or Scatter: When an ally is defeated, three allies may immediately move their speed.

I'm back So, a rules idea for a character: Heavy Armor This character does not take damage from effects that are not attacks (EX. Grenades, Splash, Force Lightning, etc.) ...and character ideas: -Heavy Hitter Fringe Soldier with Single-Shot Blaster and 30 Damage -Separatist Morgukai Warrior (Cortosis Gauntlet for Parry) -Fringe Anzati Assassin with Proboscises, Drain Life Energy, and 30 HP -+1 for Tott Doneeta, and just about any other Tales of the Jedi character

The big thing I want to see in Vset 6, is a PLAYABLE and competitive Darth Bane. I'm surprised it's taken so long for the Vset Designers to tackle this as he is arguably the most popular of all the Sith Lords with only Revan coming to mind to challenge him for that title. We got Revan set 1. We need a good playable Bane now. If I get that in set 6, I'm good. I don't care what else comes out.

Defiantly playable. Would I love to see one in orbalisk armor? Absolutely. But I wouldent say the old one is unplaable.

Republic: - I still miss that the Republic doesn't has tempo control. My suggestion is a character with Black Ops, or with tempo control CE (like Captain Mar Tuuk), or a commander who grant Cunning Attack to Republic allies with Opportunist (Admiral Yularen would be more playable). - I want to see a Yoda with Force battery. I hoped that Qui-Gon Jinn Force Spirit will be a Force battery, but he isn't. - Flame Trooper with Flamethrower 20 (from The Clone Wars - Landing at Point Rain) - Jet Trooper with Flight, Damage 10, Ion Gun +20 and Splash 10 (from Battlefront) - ARC Trooper Artillerist with Missiles 20 or 30 (from Battlefront) - Mace Windu on AT-RT (from The Clone Wars - Liberty on Ryloth)
Separatist: - I still miss a Separatist swap character. My suggestion is a Nute Gunray with Affinity (A character whose name contains Darth Sidious or Darth Maul may be in your squad regardless of faction) or a Captain Mar Tuuk with a swap CE (living characters only). - Asajj Ventress, Nightsister with Force Cloak, Sith Rage 3, Acrobatic, Synergy with Nightsisters, and no CE. - Commando Droid, Strike Leader that grant Stealth (and super-stealth) to Commando Droids - Armored Assault Tank (AAT) with Stable Footing, Missiles - Battle Droid on STAP with more Hit Points
Rebel: - Jan Ors with Pilot and Affinty to New Republic, and maybe with some boost to Kyle Katarn (Rapport or Synergy) - Mon Mothma with Affinty to New Republic - Paploo on Speeder Bike with Ewok and Strafe Attack
Imperial: - Marasiah Fel, Imperial Knight with Synergy (+4 Attack while an allied Imperial Knight is within 6 squares) - Sariss, Yun, Gorc, Pic, Boc, Maw
Old Republic: - Trask Ulgo with Soldier (Counts as a character named Old Republic Soldier) and Noble Sacrifice (If this character is defeated, 1 Old Republic Soldier can make an immediate attack)
Fringe: - Weequay Pirate on Swoopbike with Strafe Attack (from The Clone Wars - The Gungan General) - Jawa Droid Merchant with Affinity (Non-Unique Droids may be in your squad regardless of faction), and with Repair - more pirate - more mercenary with Mercenary SA

Ability for Paploo on Speeder Bike:
Chase Me: After moving, choose an enemy that this character moved over. Move that character up to its speed toward this character, save 11.

On a Savage Wookiee, for example:
Throw Person: replaces attacks; place lower-cost Small or Medium adjacent enemy in a square within 3 squares. Enemy and one character adjacent to the enemy each take 20 damage.

Weird idea: Generic (Light side or dark side, no fringe): Force spirit, speed 2, FR 1, save 16 for spirit defeat: gives (in theory) FR to obsolete Jedi/Sith characters. I am sure in actuality it will go to super shooters or annoyance pieces but might help a bit.
