And let's be clear. I'm not in charge of anything anymore. Dave and the proofreading guys are the main ones behind the rules and stuff right now. You may not officially be in anthing, but yes, let's be clear: you obviously have sway, and you're the rules guy; people still defer to you. Would I rather have that? Absolutely yes. Look where, "logic," has gotten us in the game. As far as I am concerned, this is the worst state the game has been in; anything from here is up. And once again, you are conflating design with the rules. You're kidding yourself if you think they are mutually exclusive.

I think you missed that... he's Rules Guy Emeritus. Certainly swinefeld will give a lot of weight to Sithborg's opinion, but official rulings are in swinefeld's hands now.

Much like how we all would listen to Nickname's opinions. (Though, not so much Guy Fullerton...)

We're off-topic again, so I'll just back out and wait for someone to pick this up later.

Look where, "logic," has gotten us in the game. As far as I am concerned, this is the worst state the game has been in; anything from here is up. But if anyone is giving you "because," as an answer, they are idiots. "Why can't Krayt transfer into a Force Spirit?" Because it's dead., "yeah but -- He's dead. He isn't living. There's nothing for him to transfer into, it's just thin air. Ghosts are living because the WOTC faq said that force ghosts are living. No other reason. Not because he doesn't have droid or mounted weapon, but because WOTC FAQ specifically addresses this issue. Double swap has been around forever (since sly and the bomarr monk), it's just that no one has wanted to take it to the top tables because they thought it was more of a fun squad. I could certainly see people looking into it and seeing if it is viable (depending on what happens to the Imp Governor) WOTC also left us with 2 pt mouse droids. There are two main reasons why we haven't changed really any of the old WOTC rulings. One is that if we change one, then why not change two or five or ten, and the second is that we always wanted people to be able to play who had played in the WOTC era and not be surprised by some ruling or other. As it is, there was one person at Gencon who had to adjust their squad because they missed the erratta to Daala, which actually pushes more towards making as few changes as possible so that this type of stuff doesn't happen more in the future.

True, it's in the FAQ, but the rulebook definition of living is all that is needed to decide the issue. The FAQ addressed it as a clarification (which is what the FAQ is for) because apparently people had a hard time accepting it per the rulebook. I mean, it's the freaking RULEBOOK. edit: pg.41

We can only hope the balance team decided otherwise. Because it works be really unfortunate for the gave to continue in the direction that is heading. The last few VSets, with the exception of a few pieces, have been wonderful. But that work will be all for nought if something isn't done.

Lol, so if we don't decide everything the way you and every other person wants, then all our work is a total waste of time. Thanks for valuing our freely given time and effort. There's actually a logic to using transfer essence into a ghost. You see, actually, transfer essence was most often used on a tomb, an inanimate object, where the spirit would wait until it could find another being to transfer into. Whatever a force ghost really is, it's not the same as what we typically think of as a ghost in culture anyways, as the Force spirits have the ability to affect the real world in tangible ways far beyond what usual ghost lore has been. Force spirits are pure energy according to wookie. They absolutely have a tangible essence, in fact it seems they are 100% essence. So you could totally transfer into one IMO. If we were to use full realism for transfer, it actually should work on droids and mounted weapons as well.

I'm not holding any illusions as to what this balance team is doing. so don't worry, you can't disappoint someone with low expectations.
But your condescending sarcasm is noted, my friend. I've said multiple times that I appreciate the effort. Me criticizing the VSet doesn't mean I don't appreciate it, in the same way that criticizing the government doesn't mean I hate the country.
It's funny that the same people who like to point out the negativity on the boards are also the ones feeding the fire. Thanks for acknowledging the positive things I've said though, bill, rather than twisting criticism into something inherently negative.

Your post wasn't criticism. It was a threat and an ultimatum. But I don't care to argue about it. I do love how you completely ignored the rest of the post, which actually answered your argument quite well with facts about the SW Universe, and then blamed me for creating the animosity that you have. Lol dude, you are like Jeb Bush blaming Obama and Hillary for a war his brother started. Bloomilk is a total waste of time, thanks to a few of you. Congrats, I'm following the others back to Gamers. I'm in this for the people who enjoy the game, not to fight with internet tough guys any longer. Goodby.
