The Prospector is a nice, WOTC style balanced piece, great thinking on that one BigGrin
I like all the force users in this batch, balance is great on that Twilek!

I enjoy the Ithorian gun for hire, but feel it would benefit from the Mercenary ability.

Mercenary instead of Fringer? WOTC had a lot more Mercs than Fringers and I thought I'd try to bring up the Fringer pieces in number. I can understand the Mercs getting benefits from their Commander but I also created the Kaleesh Fringer Leader

Merc Commander - Furious Assault & Deadeye.
Kaleesh Leader - 3 Attack and +3 Defense.

It seems like 6 of one, half a dozen from another. Do you think the grenades ability should be tempered by the Merc movement restrictions?

@surf,
Yeah i get where youre trying to go with the fringer subfaction, but I feel its starting to overlap a little with the spacer subfaction. I think the movement restrictions, or abilities which assist figures with mercenary may be one way to set the fringers apart stylistically.

Although the synergy you point out does seem interesting, may have to throw together a couple of squads and see what happens BigGrin

Also, by the by the Miraluka Force Adept you made in the last set worked a treat; very balanced and a fun piece to try

Glad you liked the Mirialan Force Adept; how'd she play out? Good melee piece or just a pain to nail down and kill?

I’ve been reading Revan and Shadow Games this last week and they both had several scenes in Cantina’s; since the next V-Set has as part of its title “Cantina Brawl ” I decided try my hand at some of the denizens of a Cantina. I’ve already done a Cantina Dancer; Good or bad, here are the rest of my own “Cantina” set.

Cantina Bartender. Got a Dancer, but it’s a bar so you need a bartender. Bartenders seem to know everything.

Cantina Brawler. There’s always a drunk in every bar.

Aqualish Thug. Like Ponda Baba, everybody thinks they’re tougher than they are.

A few troublemakers in bars ….

Ortolan Scam Artist

Muun Scoundrel

Drug Dealers and their associates …

Hutt Cartel Stim Dealer

Stim Runner; just another drug runner.

I saw this pic and I just had to do these two ...

Slave Master. Just a real, pretty B*tch Wink

Slave. Curious to see how usable this piece might be.

Tonnika Sisters. Ok, I saw these two in the V-Set and looked them up. They seem to be some scam artists; not sure why the V guys made them so powerful, unless they’re the Mystral girls the Sisters were supposed to be impersonating. Anyway, my version … with apologies.

Some other pieces later this week …. Comments please, as usual ……

The force adept proved handy; mostly she was used as a threat piece (positioned for counter attack if midpoint/uniques moved for gambit on starship and Korriban maps) and to detect cloaked/stealthed units. I found her to be very good at mopping up grunts and being a mid-threat piece. She's best used against stealthy or swap (palps/thrawn CE) squads.

Of your latest batch, I like the slave, stim gang and the bartender: great characterful pieces!
Excellent work on the custom cards; they always entertain and keep me thinking of new combos to try out.

Thanks for the comments Koba; always nice to hear how people actually playtest pieces; other opinions are always best so you have impartial opinions rather than any biased ones stat creater may have.

I seem to have had a problem. Somehow I lost a file and I'm not sure if it had anything in it that hasn't been backed up. Hopefully not. I found an amusing pic or two and hopefully will have some cards out this weekend .... got books to read right now ... no time for thinking BigGrin

Lost one or two pieces I was working on. Found most of the lost stuff in my backups; oh well, my problems, not anybody elses.

Been working on some stuff I found during vacation surfing late at night after reading. As usual, found some new pics that gave me new ideas. Apologies to Derf; I gave him some pics but he didn’t mention he had some interesting ones and I of course borrowed them BigGrin

Mandalorian

Death Watch Trooper. The Death Watch seems to be a big topic so I gave them something besides
that sad Raider that’s so conflicted.

Death Watch Sympathizer. I hope an interesting piece that gives the Mando’s some homegrown abilities.

Mandalorian Tech Specialist. An idea to make the Basilisks better and usable, since they make an appearance in the Revan book.

Mandalorian Guardsman. The equivalent of a Mando cop?

Fringe

Several Spacers for my sub-faction.

Amanin Spacer.

Gotal Spacer

Zabrak Spacer

Dathomir Rancor. A Rancor for use by Nightsisters otherwise on foot.

Fosh Diplomatic Negotiator. An idea for Fringer support.

Gamorrean Headman. My effort to make Gamorreans cheaper and useful. Curious abot the Species Pride ability.

Iotran Bounty Hunter. I looked at some peoples definitions for slugthrower; didn’t like them so here’s my definition … they probably won’t like mine either BigGrin

Selkath Kolto Trader. Another use for a Selkath!

Sluissi Defense Contractor. Interesting species, an idea that I thought of when I saw it with Wicket.

Swoop Bike Mechanic. Apologies to Derf. Found this actually somewhere else then I saw he also had it. Thought I give the Hellions some more love to go with their Honcho.

Tatooine Desert Guide. Another denizen of Tatooine.

Jedi and Sith.

Some ideas for some pics and some different species.

Gran Jedi Master

Khil Jedi Temple Scholar

Khil Sith Lord

Republic

Elite Senate Commando. Why not Elite Commando if you have an Elite Senate Guard?

Imperial

Commander Appo. An Imperial 501st version that can bring in all 501st pieces together.

As always, comments are appreciated.

Thank you. Appo seemed the best bet to bring Imp & Republic 501's together if you didn't want to use Vader, Sith Apprentice.

Its too quiet, so I thought I’d toss these out; I may be doing family stuff at the zoo this weekend if it's not raining so ….

Imperial

Picaroon, Kowakian Dark Jedi. Squelch & I were talking Dark Jedi and I had this sitting around so I finished it.

Fringe

Chiss Spy. An excuse to use my Chiss faction cards.

Korun Trooper. A trooper from Mace Windu’s planet.

Pantoran Field Scout. A pic I found awhile ago; took me awhile to come up with something.

Sardu Sallowe. Found this pic, looked him up; just some interesting combinations of abilities.

Zelosian Bounty Hunter. Did you know the original Boushh is the only melee BH?

Zeltron Floozy. Another Cantina bimbo.

Yes, I've got 4-5 alternate faction cards made up.

Chiss
Jedi Order (generic/any era Jedi.)
Black Sun
Infinite Empire
Zann Consortium
Trade Federation
Commerce Guild

If I ever clean off my "Plate" I May do something with some of them. Somewhere back on page 1 or two I've posted a Chiss Faction character or two.

Lily gave me some ideas, I may post them if she's ok with it ......

Under the weather, but I can still sorta think ....

Well I seem to be apologizing again; this time to Lily since she gave me the Bespin/Cloud City idea. So, apologies Lily …..

Bespin Guard Commander. The Bespin Guards need all they can get.

Lando Calrissian, Baron Administrator of Cloud City. A Lando to showcase him being in charge of Bespin.

Lobot, Cloud City Coordinator. Here’s a Lobot that is aware of everything going on in Bespin and can do something about it.

Cloud City Security Pod-Car. Surprised we never got this actually. Not sure if it’s over/under powered or just right.

Some Uggies to give them some diversity.
Ugnaught Chief Technical Advisor. Somebody besides the Boss had to get his hands dirty And know what they’re doing.

Ugnaught Guild Representative. Left over Uggie; seemed a good candidate for diplomat.

Last one tonight. Found this and had to use it right away

Death Watch Lieutenant Bo Katan. Don’t remember her in the Cartoon, but she seemed like a good candidate for my Fanatic ability.

Love the cards but just a few things, I think the stim dealer should have some stim ability thingy. Like maybe replaces turn, adjacent ally gains +1 per atk and/or def, can only be used 1 time per skirmish. Also two different death watch guys have a fanatic ability but they have different wording. I would maybe change one to Impulsive fanatic to differentiate between the two. Great cards!

Good catch on the Death Watch characters. The second card reflects the newer, updated wording. Have to remember to change the first cards wording.

Stim Dealer; Hmmm do we really want a drug dealer conferring something good? Bad example for the younglings BigGrin

Thank you for the comments.

I've been busy, but I may have some new cards in a day or so. Got some new pics of some new species, some Clone Wars characters, some fun Tatooine pieces; a little for everyone. May thow out a generic Jedi or two. Any requests?

Well, its been quiet ... lots of views but no comments; such is the life of an customizer BigGrin But I've got the itch and now that life has returned to normal ......

I'm at a quandary/crossroads. It seems I always take the middle road on cards and always make them Fringe. While some definitely are, some interesting cards/ideas are coming up and I keep wondering if I should pick a particular faction. Anybody have ideas what factions could use something othe than Vong? I even have a few pieces that could be Mando with a lil tweak; could even start a sub-faction of Black Sun or even the Hutt Cartel.

I suppose I could just toss out some cards with alternate Fringe/Other Faction.

PS - anybody know if there's a way to put PDF's here other than as a link to a site, or is the uploading on Bloo strictly pic/text?

Try and think of sub factions like Pilot i supppose.

Your on the right track with Tusken. They can be fringe character but give or get better bonus/use out of their sub faction.

New Republic-GAG
Rebel-Spy
Fringe-Bounty Hunter/Imperial Spy network
Vong-have different religious sects
OR/Fringe-Czerka

just a few quick ideas, good or bad i dont know lol

Thanks for the comments Cerous. Always like some new ideas ThumpUp

On to the newer stuff

Well, Cerous has given me some food for thought. I may be reworking some interesting cards this weekend. In the meantime, since I haven’t posted anything in awhile, I have these offerings.; several new species and some different takes on some other fun pics ….

Codru-ji Tech. An interesting new EU species. Whenever I bump into an “unkown” species I try to go by whatever Wook says and try to stick to the flavor/tendencies of the species. Saying that, my take on a Codru-ji .

Yevethan Clansman. Another EU species. They didn’t seem to care for the Vong, hence the enmity.

Nikto Pirate. Always room for another pirate ….

Ortolan Fringer. I seem to have this thing for Ortolans and Selkath ….

Neimoidian Bounty Hunter. Neimoidians are money hungry; seems like a good fit …

EK-11P Counter-Measures Droid. I thought Disruptive and Ion Shielding was an interesting matchup.

Mon Calamari Commando. Many other factions have a commando, why not the New Republic?

Gorc, Dark Jedi. I’ve already done his partner, Picaroon, so here’s Gorc !

Sith Master of Assassins. Loved the pic. At first, I’d thought he was a little overpowered for a generic, non-unique, but I rationalized it as him being The master of assassins; may think up a name or wait till someone in the EU comes along and actually matches up with him ….hmmm

Duros Jedi Knight. Interestingly enough, I couldn't find a single decent pic of a Duros jedi, so I faked it an did what I used to do with custom mini’s; a head swap onto a good body. My new system of randomizing force abilities seems to have worked nicely with this guy.

I just finished reading the “Darth Plagueis” book last week. It gave me some fun ideas. I’ve also got some great pics lately, so next weekend should be extra good.

Comments welcomed as always; good or bad 

Thanks Squelch ThumbsUp

I just finished reading the “Darth Plagueis” book last week. It gave me some fun ideas.

Comments welcomed as always; good or bad BigGrin

I’ve probably got enough for two batches; one tonight and the second grouping in a few days (Super Bowl Sundays a National Holiday in our house.)

No particular order here, although the next group happens to have some of the better pieces; well maybe not better, but some of my own more personal favorites …..

Bando Gora Assassin. Mentioned in the Plagueis novel; not much in Wook on them, so I’ve done what any customizer does when unsure; Use the Force and make a wild guess …..

Besalisk Gunrunner. I’m using my new swapping technique with upper/lower body parts on a few pieces. The gunrunner has been an idea that I’ve had for awhile; finally found a piece it would’ve fit …. Or not 

Blood Carver Tribal Chieftain. An addition I thought would goose the Blood Carvers a bit.

Bothan Troubleshooter. Sort of an “Offensive” Diplomat piece.

Chadra-Fan Scoundrel. Had the pic; the idea of a Chandra-Fan scoundrel is funny …..

Chiss Weapons Expert. Liked the idea of a weapons expert. Not sure if I represented it right ….

Falleen Combat Instrutor. In the book, Plagueis made a reference to this character …. My take …

Jawa Tech Specialist. The lil guys must have had Someone who really knew their tech …..

Kel Dor Mercenary. Another composite pic; piece/pic came out nice.

Komari Vosa, Bando Gora Cult Leader. Always thought she wasn’t a well costed/often used piece. Since she also in the Pagueis book …. An excuse to redo her ….

Korun Hunter. Mace’s race. Good pic.

Mere Freedom Fighter. Had to look him up; I believe this guy worked with Nym.

Naboo N-1 Starfighter. I’ve done Bespin, Tatooine, Tuskens so why not a few Naboo pieces.

New Republic Infiltrator. The one thing that bugs me is he looks like Obi … like the pic otherwise.

Quarren Scoundrel. Yet another composite pic. He looked like a conman … which is another word for
scoundrel BigGrin

Umbaran Bounty Hunter. The Clone Wars episode made me look for appropriate pics. Sly Moore should have been a better character after seeing that episode and reading Riptide.

Yinchorri Warrior. Yet another Plagueis novel species.

Zygerrian Slaver. Haven’t gotten around to releasing him from the stockpile …..

Arcona Jedi Master. Need more Arcona’s …..

Chagrian Jedi Knight. Likewise Chagrian’s ………
